Housekeeping PRN-00450-4519 Primary Location: United States-Louisiana-Lafayette LA-The Regional Medical Center of Acadiana Job: Environmental Services Schedule: Full-time Description I. Position Summary: Performs cleaning functions in various areas of the hospital. Maintains these areas in a clean and orderly fashion in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures and foremost to provide an environment conducive to patient recovery. Qualifications A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: None. B. Education: C. Experience: At least three years housekeeping or related experience. Demonstrates ability to function well in this demanding role. D. Special Qualifications: Requires operation of mechanical equipment such as buffers, vacuums, high speeders, extractors, power washers, etc. Reasoning ability, as employees must use self-judgment in changing sequence of areas cleaned to meet demands of those units or areas. In addition, this person is the designated lead housekeeper in the absence of the supervisor or coordinator on weekends or during the week.
